REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES

The editorial board recommends authors to follow the guidelines and samples of articles while submitting them for publication. The articles which do not agree with the requirements are not considered by the editorial board.

The article should be typed with the use of text editor «LaTeX» according to the example (see sample.tex in Style Files), using of style sheet jcem.sty (which is available in Style Files).

Each article should contain the following information:

  • last name, first name, patronymic of the author (in full);
  • work position of the author (if any);
  • contact details (mail address; e-mail);
  • the title of the article;
  • annotation (see Recommendations about annotations below);
  • key words (up to 5 words or expressions), they should be separated by commas;
  • Universal decimal classification codes;
  • MSC codes.

The information should be submitted in the English language (the sample is given in sample.tex, see Style Files).

The list of references and bibliographic reference should be given at the end of the article.

The list of references should be submitted in accordance with State Standard of the Russian Federation 7.1—2003 «Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description». All the sources should be marked. References to the quoted sources in the text are to be given in the form of numbers corresponding to the number of the article in the list of references enclosed in square brackets. Sample of reference to the quoted sources: [1], [1, 2], [1, 2—4]. See here for recommendations about translating of references to sources which were published in Russian.

Reference to unpublished articles is prohibited.

The size of a document:

Survey Articles — up to 24 pages.
Articles — up to 12 pages.
Short Notes — up to 5 pages.

Articles having a bigger size can be submitted for publication as an exceptional case at the editorial board’s decision.

While submitting the article it is strongly recommended that you follow generally accepted article submission guidelines. It is recommended to use Reference book of editor and author A. E. Milchin and L. K. Cheltsova, Moscow, 2009.

In the text of the article slash should be used (\flqq, \frqq). All the dates are presented in the following manner: 31.12.2002, except the submission date.

Moreover, it is necessary to follow the rules:

Numbering of formulae. It is necessary to use continuous numbering of formulae, theorems, lemmas, derived relations and derivations. It is desirable to mark all the formulae (the number is given in the right-hand margin of the basic text and enclosed in round brackets), but it is acceptable to mark only those mentioned in the text. Interpretation of symbols used in formulae is given in order of their use in formulae. The use of letters of Cyrillic alphabet in formulae is not recommended.

Figures. It is recommended to use black and white figures with resolution of 300—600 dpi (eps format). Figures are given in addition to the article in the form of separate files (use the techniques of lossless data compression) as it will economize the time of prepress.

Diagrams. The word “Diagram” should be written (right-margin aligning) above the diagram. The diagram should be included without paragraph indentation. All diagrams in the text should have references.

The number of figures and diagrams is up to 8.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF ARTICLE ANNOTATIONS

The abstract by the authors (annotation) is a brief resume of the full article. It can be published separately from basic text and hence should be free of references to the original article.

The recommended size of annotation is about 120—250 words.

The annotation should include the following aspects of the article content:

  • subject, topic and object of the article;
  • information about the problem under solution;
  • methods of solution or methodology of the work;
  • results of the work;
  • sphere of application of the work results;
  • conclusion.

The annotation shouldn’t contain figures, diagrams, charts, schemes, formulae, bibliography and sources of financing as well as references.

The text of annotation should use the syntax of scientific and technical documents, complex grammatical structures are unacceptable.

 

 PUBLICATION ETHICS

  1. The article should be in printed or electronic version in English language. The electronic version should be identical to the printed one. The printed version should have the signatures of all authors.

  2. The article submitted to the periodical should present a complete scientific research and include new scientific results.

  3. It is forbidden to publish the articles previously published or sent for publication to other periodicals. The author is responsible for the content of the article. The editorial board is entitled to withdraw a published article if there is an evidence of the fact that within publication the rights and general accepted rules of scientific ethics are infringed. The editorial board must inform the author about withdrawal.

  4. Printed version is followed by:
    — the act of expert review about the possibility of publication in public media;
    — non-exclusive license agreement of granting the right to use the article;
    — agreement for processing of personal data.
    The license agreement is to be compiled in two copies for the co-authors. The agreement for processing of personal data is to be in one copy. Signing the license agreement the author guarantees the fact that the article is the original version written by the author. He also ensures the granted rights do not infringe the rights of other people or companies.

  5. Chief Editor conducts the policy of prevention and control of publishing conflicts.

  6. Before to send the article by e-mail it is strongly recommended to attach zip or rar files with the title in translation. For example: author_title.zip, author1_author2_title.rar.

  7. The printed version is to be followed by the information about the author who wrote the article and cooperates with the editorial board during the process of submission the article for publishing, contact telephone and e-mail for feedback.

  8. The editorial board is not responsible for artistic, literary or any other types of correction of the articles.

  9. The decision on acceptance of the article for publication is made by the editorial board on the basis of the review written by expert of the same or related field of study. Final date of acceptance of the article for publication is the date of acceptance of the article with necessary corrections in accordance with the comments of a reviewer. If the authors ignore the comments of the reviewer to make necessary error corrections of the article, the article will not be published. The authors can give reasons for refusal to follow recommendations of the reviewer in the written form. In case of disagreement of the reviewer with the authors the article is not published, the authors are notified about it by the official letter with grounds for refusal to publish the article in the present form. Publication ethics provides fair and objective reviewing process free of business interest and market needs.

  10. The author doesn’t pay for the publication of the article.

  11. The editorial board has the right not to accept articles that are submitted with deviations from the rules.

  12. Articles which are not accepted for publication as well as accompanying documents are returned.

  13. Submission of an article to the editor of the periodical "Journal of Computational and Engineering Mathematics" signifies the agreement of the authors to accept the rules and place a full version of the article in the Internet on the official web-site of Scientific on-line library eLIBRARY.RU, All-Russian Mathematical portal Mat-Net.RU, Zentralblatt MATH zbmath.org, MathSciNet ams.org for free access as well as to use a personal data in public media.
